Hi, I’m René. As a wellness enthusiast I enjoy exploring yoga, natural beauty, and overall wellbeing.

I’m from Cape Town, South Africa, where I spent a large portion of my life growing up in a multi-cultural environment.

This is what sparked my enthusiasm to try different things.

I’ve had a varied and broad bunch of experiences in my life so far, but nothing short of an adventure. Experiments, travels, the good and the bad stuff. So let’s dive in and share the progress and wins of this wellness journey.

Okay let’s begin!

The Mixed Beauty

On this site you will be able to find easy homemade recipes that I use a lot. They are the wellness tips and tweaks to help make our day to day life just a little bit easier. More meaningful.

A lot of time has been devoted over countless bathroom basins, kitchen counters, and on the mat of course, to test out what works and what doesn’t.

What to expect

This isn’t about being perfectly glamourous. There’s just not enough time and energy to keep up with that. It’s about being effective. And just feeling plain old good. About our lives, having appreciation, and sharing good energy.

For the recipes, expect to pleasantly and merrily find most of these ingredients already in your home – or for the very least, easy to get your hands on at the grocery store, no matter which city or country you’re currently in.

What you should bring

  • An open mind: the willingness to try something, sometimes unconventional.
  • Remember, little tweaks means that it’s manageable for you. Slow change is lasting.
  • If I can do it, so can you.

Because I have to put it out there.

The information, tips and recipes shared on the The Mixed Beauty have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.

These are my own personal experiences, what worked for me, what didn’t. I refer to the natural beauty and food recipes (at any place or airspace I’ve found myself in), as well as my physical and emotional experiences and developments.
